National Day of Climate Action, Nov. 3

Any plans for Saturday, Nov. 3rd?

How would you like to grab a few friends, take a few hours, and be a
part of one of the most historic days of action around global warming
in US history?

On Saturday, Nov. 3rd, people in hundreds of communities nationwide
are coming together to ask their public officials and candidates for
real leadership on global warming, with three bold and simple asks:
1) Green jobs now, 2) cut climate pollution 80% by 2050, and 3) no new
coal plants!

Right here in Nashua, we're going to rally at our City Hall (229 Main
St.) from noon-2pm, with funky, funky music by Soul'N'Roll band
Melodeego, and speeches by Jeanne Shaheen & Jay Buckey (Candidates, US
Senate); Donnalee Lozeau & Jim Tollner (Candidates, Nashua Mayor);
Paul Hodes (US Congressman, NH District 2); and Suzanne Harvey (State
Rep, Nashua).

This really is quite an opportunity to make a difference. Attached is
a poster you can print and hang around town and at your workplace; for
the rally, it would also be wonderful if you made your own banners and
signs. For ideas, check out: http://stepitup2007.org/banners.

We know that global warming is a crisis looming, and our hearts hurt
for those who could suffer the most from this crisis. Yet, we also
know that building a clean energy economy is within our reach, and
that if we do it right, this can bring us closer to realizing a vision
of a more just and fulfilling world. If we all come together, we have
the power to make our leaders enact this vision...And with your help,
that's exactly what we're going to do on November 3rd.

RSVP here: http://events.stepitup2007.org/events/show/2026.

If you're interested in serving as one of our media contacts for the
event, email me. Finally, pass this on to all your loved ones and
acquaintances, and I hope you can make it for Nov. 3rd!

Sincerely,
Zo Tobi
